Mid-engine 240

Has anyone heard or has seen of a mid-engined 240? I ask because my 240 is now bent and A tube frame rear, I think would be one of the ways to save it. I bought this car for a 1000 dollars and I would like to keep it. It has been through "the war" with me. The Impact is not incredible major. Just enough to bend the Ace of my car. As is obvious through the warping of the spare tire well and the lack of seal on the hatch area. The back suspension and tire could almost pass off as being in a normal position but I know better than to think it is. Seeing that there are other succesfull Mid engined swapped cars, I was wondering if this is at all possible. And I understand that with $ you can do anything but I am saying realistically, as In sub 5000$$. Eng choices could range from VG,VQ to Fwd SR20, or even Altima KA's. Is this even a feasible thought? Any info is welcome even flames. This is a chance to experiment, please help.

Help a 91 get its life back on track

You could probably do it if you tube framed the rear end , and used a FWD motor. Do some modifications to the shifter cables, add a firewall, and some sort of engine cover like in the mid-engine hatched Clio'.. Maybe you could even use an MR2 Turbo engine. THAT would be unique.

All speculation though.

ok what you should do is turn it into the fastest drag car ever. I've had this idea floating around for a while so I'll go ahead and post it up and you guys can tell me why it won't work.

OK. listening?

first off you take a skyline GTR drivetrain and install it in the front of your car. This isn't gonna be easy so I hope you are good at fabrication (if you can handle a mid engine'd 240 this will be easy for you though). Now you think, yes this is good, I have a front engined, AWD car. What is the point?
ok, the point is this. Go ahead and buy a second skyline GTR motor/tranny and mount it where the rear seat is, sandwiched between the first tranny and the diff. Run a short driveshaft from the RWD output of the first transmission INTO the FWD output of the rear engine/transmission, and run the RWD output of the last tranny back into your rear diff.
Do a custom 4 link setup in the back.
Buy fender flares for all four sides, run 10" wheels all around, with some real big drag radials. Build each engine identically and use a sequential shift conversion (so you could mechanically link transmission together for faster shifting). An air shifter would help.

Anyway that would mean, since there are drag skylines with 1000 hp, you could probably put down about 2000 HP....
I think that would be fast...
and 2 way limited slips front and rear...
