S13 SR20DET going in S14 Fuse box wiring HELP!!!

I was following sr20.hybrid.jp and he said nothing about the fuse box. How would I wire it up? I'm using my stock fuse box in this case and I have no clue where to begin. I hope you guys can help me out as NICO didn't really help. Some guys over there are trying to make money for the service so they wouldn't answer me, bunch of jackasses.

I dint know if this will help, considering its for a different engine, and different model (s13) but it might get you goin in the right direction.

here's a link that has some photos and text to go with it. Again just to get you in the right direction.

that is what I thought that I needed to do. Not all wires are not color coded. But I still don't know what to do with my s14 yet...

You can not go by color only as they some times change year to year. you need the wiring diagrams for both car and motor and then you can match usage as well as color if there the right color. if you only need the wires by the battery call me and I will try to help. morepower@ mckinneymotorsports.com

I was going to use my stock S14 fuse box...but now it's at the point where using the SR fuse box makes more sense.

The use box has an output for the alternator and the motor already has the alternator plugs already. Does it make sense if I use the SR fuse box? I need help. I called you Mack, but I got the answer machine instead so hopefully you return my call soon. Thanks all.

There is no reason to be doing anything with the wiring by the fuse box. Only the engine harness needs to be done!!!!!!!!!

You do realize that the KA harness is connected to some of the fuse box plugs right? Since the KA harness is out, those plugs will be left alone...unplugged?

Also, I have extra wires from the F2, F3, F8, and F10...they are no used and just wrap it up?

Thanks again Mack for returning my call today. I'm counting on you even though you're not getting a dime from me, I really appreciate your help and others on this board.

Next step for me is solder those wires together (already hooked up) and hook up the alternator and i'm good to roll...can't wait.

Sounds like you trying to wire like a S13 instead of a S14. REPEAT the are NO connections under the hood when doing a s13 motor into a S14 body......

I have a few extra wires not hooked up to anything on the F3, and a couple on the F2, F8, and F10. Is this normal?

Oh, BTW Mack, no connections under the hood? I think you meant something about the fusebox, but still, can you try to answer my post quetions, above your last post...all of them?

The only body connection under the hood are wiper system. The rest are under the dash..

You can call again. There will be a few wire that you do not have to connect.

Mack,
We have a SR S13 Blacktop in a S14 at our shop now, so we were going to copy it, but we still ran into a few problems, well, one big problem.
The plugs that are from the starter go to the fuse box, and they plugged right in his car, but on my car, the plugs wouldn't fit any plugs on the fusebox. One of his plugs has 3 wires comming out (big white one, and 2 other small ones) and mine has a black/white and black/yellow, both are as big as the white one on the other 240. So what do we supposed to do? The 2nd plug is not even color match on the fuse box and of course, woulnd't fit.
My car was an auto so it has few plugs that wouldn't need, but still, I can't figure out which goes where for the 2 starter plugs that are supposed to plug right in the other end of the two plugs from the fuse box. Please help me on this one Mack. Thanks again for all your help.

Ok, I got my motor to CRANK, but no start, what the hell. We found out that the fuel pump (STOCK) is not turning on, and no ECU power. The wirings by the fuse box from the 2 plugs are not matching up. We tried to get all the hot wires to the battery to start her up, but doesn't run. Do you have any idea what to do about the plug that is by the alternator, which plugs into one of the plugs by the fuse box? It plugs in, but the color of the wires are not the same. I have no clue now. Mack, can you help bro?

LOL. I had the same problem man. Listen go to www.srswap.com and click on the wiring section. On the plugs that plug into each other next to the battery, there wires don't match. You have to cut all the wires off the 3 plugs and match them to each other that is listed on the diagram.

Holy shit. I found my own thread 5 years ago. The reason:

I believe I used the sr20.hybrid.jp website for my s13 sr20 into s14 before and that website is down . I switched the motor into the same car cause for the AC and it's an overall better frame car, mine was in a hefty accident and I didn't know it until it started to eat up my tires, but then Iraq took away most of the years so now i'm back.

1. Pulled the motors and switched them - Good
2. Upgraded turbo, manifold...etc - Good
3. Wiring, by the ECU - BAD

So the question really is that then #3.
- Does anyone have any info on the wiring harnesses by the ECU anymore. i.e. instrument plug, relay plug. I just wanted to make sure that when I pulled the wire harness out, I didn't pull any wires because some weren't use so I wasn't sure if those got yanked out or what, just wanna double check. And I've searched all over the internet all day and couldn't find nothing about s13 sr20det into s14. I'm sure someone kept some info on it. I'm gonna start doing a scan on my computer now to see if I have any docs that I saved in my harddrives.
