Sounds like my car. It ended up being timing related. My timing and idle was all screwed up. Once I fixed that the car came to life and it felt like a different car...still a ka but at least it was peppy.

Agreed with the gentlemen above me. My car felt like crap when i first did my sr, it would go about 4.5k but not easily.... needless to say i was 45degrees off timing hahah.

However, i have noticed this problem in other cars too. Several of my friends have dsm's. and when they have put on fmic's, it sounds and acts like a two step at 4.5k. The problem here (now granted i dont know if you have a sr20 or not) they had major boost and pressure leaks. Couple vaccum leaks here and there, and when they added a fmic for some reason it just made their car crash on its face in boost at 4.5k. So if your boosted, check ALL vacuum lines, and ALL silicone couplings. Pull the all off and bend them to see if you can see any small slits in them, cuz i can guarantee you some will be there. Its sad to hear that your silvia is down, but GET THAT BEAST BACK OUT!!! good luck
