s14 2 plugs on engine harness have me stumped

EDITED, check latest post.

first off, I did post this in the "identify this" thread to no avail

what do these plugs go to?
my car is a s14 with an s14 sr.
the harness was done by phase2motortrend
it comes off the harness near the ignitor

and this plug, it comes off the harness near the pass side motor mount, oil filter area.

1)Wiper amplifier.

2)Lower harness to ECU plug.

You need the first, the second is only to go down to the CPS and rear O2 which you no longer have if you've swapped an SR in.

thanks russ. i know the amplifier is right behind the ASCD actuator, beside the wiper motor. that is in the corner on the passenger side behind the strut tower, correct?

also, i am using the trans harness from my ka. would that mean i should/could still use the lower harness to ecu plug?

Correct the wiper amp is on that side, it is a little brown/black box with a white sticker on it.

As for the lower harness you can use either the KA or SR. It doesn't make a difference.

There's no point. The lower harness doesn't have to be repinned, the alternator, starter, and all switches are the same and plug in the same. The plug in question is wrapped into the lower harness but can be removed just by unwrapping it, it only goes to the CPS and rear O2, neither of which are found on the SR, and neither of which are even required on a KA unless you want to clear the CEL. Both items are for OBD diagnostics only.

Im guessing this also goes for s13 sr into s13? I ask because i just dropped mine in and just left the sr lower harness on and plugged in the 3 that fit. This seemed to work except my speedo is floating around 10mph and flutters a little when I rev the engine and it drops to 0 when i engage the clutch. Anyone got any ideas?

theres a few plugs that come off where the ignitor is, they are not necessary.

Not at all, completely different. S13s do not have the wiper system incorporated into the engine harness, nor do they have anything ECU related in the lower harness.
