Exclamation I thought I was leaving the scene....

...car scene that is LOL.... but, here I am faced with three great options on building another project car.

and well, they're too good to pass up....

so, pretty much, just wanting to hear what "you guys" have to say...

I know that in the end, its my choice and what not, but trying to get another perspective to each project...something I might not have thought about....

theyre all in the same price range....

first option:

86 corolla gt-s w/ sr20 from a nissan 200sx (fwd) (stick)

WHAT I WOULD DO:
make it look prettier, and boost it...

mx73 cressida inline 6, completely stock (auto)

WHAT I WOULD DO:
convert to manual, weld diff, suspension, wheels

89 240sx hatch sohc, roll bar, lsd, (stick)

WHAT I WOULD DO:
suspension, wheels, dohc swap, or maybe sohc-t

I have a strong distaste for buying others failed projects.... the mx73 is about the only one that doesn't look like it has one foot in the scrap yard already.

PS I don't have to work on it, so why does anyone but your own opinion matter?

because of previous knowledge...perhaps someone has worked on a cressida, and can chime in on a custom suspension setup, or someone has worked with a fwd sr20 converted to rwd and can put their 2c on its durability, or something like that...

im just trying to get diferent views on the projects....sometimes it takes someone else to point out its flaws or pros....

Megan makes coils for the cressida.

Do the cressida. That corolla looks like a hacked mess, and the 240 is boring

+1

If anything dood its just a sr20de....they make the sr motor in a n/a form not just boosted. In order to convert a fwd version to rwd it takes a real dummy considering that the money in order to do so will be more then the price of a sr20de or even the det one for that matter.

To the OP how long have you been in the "scene" of 240's?

To your original question OP...its really up to you man. The cressida is the best in looks it seems.

Ohh and by the way in case you still think the motor is a fwd converted due to you maybe not thinking there is a n/a version...here is a pic of a n/a sr that i had

Note where your CAS/Distributor is. Note where the spark plug wires on the one in the corolla goes to and the lack of anything where yours is.
The Intake and exhaust manifolds are both FWD.

Back to the OP's question at hand. I concur with getting the cressida. You will spend more time and money fixing the other two then finding parts for the cressida.
