ka overheating

i have a question on a ka i installed alright here goes. i recently purchased an s14 ka i put my s13 intake on there since all the emissions and most of the coolant lines are gone. when i put it back on i didn't have a gasket so i used silicone. i was wondering if it should be fine because the car likes to over heat on spirited driving, but if i let it cool down it will be fine again so i want to know if it is my hg or my shitty silicone job. also yes i have bled it several times, i also took off the thermostat to see if that was the problem and it wasn't. also i have no thermo and it still does it and i dont have heater anymore so i cant bleed it

Bleeding it several times just doesn't seem to do the trick on KA motors. When it warms up, cut it off....open bleeder purge on manifold, refill...cool off, repeat...till you see NO bubbles come out that little bastard.

what does your oil look like? chocolate milk?

does it overheat idling? or while driving?

kinda confused where you used the silicone too...

edit: check out FSM for proper coolant bleeding procedure

Did you switch over coolant sensors? I had this problem when i put my 91 ka in my 95 240. I thought is was overheating but i found out that the single pin coolant sensors have different resistance values and it will make the temp gauge read hot on and s14 cluster.

how. in the hell. did you not notice that your lower hose was "gushing" water.

doesnt "gushing" normally seem like....a water balloon that got busted. or a raging river.

that doesnt really explain why your hoses were as pressurized as you said.

when my hoses were like that, my HG had caused a tunned from the combustion chamber to the coolant jackets. ergo, super pumped cooling system.
