caster problem?

recently did my alignment on my s14, i have megan coils and im slammed, i thought my camber on my pass. side wheel was off because of bad tire wear and the wheel was more sunked in then my driver side.

turned out that the camber was good but the caster on my passenger side is off my 2degrees.

driver side 7deg caster
pass side 5deg caster

i believe 7degres is about right for our car b/c on the hunter rack it was in the green.

how do i adjust for caster? what do i need to do to correct this?

Do you have stock or aftermarket tension rods? Well seeing as you don't know how to adjust caster i'm betting you have the stock stuff which is most likely worn pretty bad if the caster specs aren't even. The stocks do not have any adjustment so you need purchase some adjustable ones like SPL V2's for example or Battle version.

SPL-Tension rods

Caster has no affect on tire wear. A caster split like that would cause a really bad pull to the side with the lower caster. make sure your coilovers
are about the same overall length. The overall length of the coilover will affect caster, and yes buy some tension rods.

I had the same problem. My TC rod bushing on one of my stockies was all torn and leaking and whatnot. Got some Cusco's and an alignment and I was good to go.

Park on any curbs and bend your TC rod braces? Sounds like something is bent.

You are spot on. However an extremely worn tension rod can cause toe to change which can lead to abnormal tire wear on s chassis'.

7 degrees is fine. You can adjust simply for rubbing issues or how easily your wheel centers itself. More caster your steering wheel will want to center itself more easily, less you have to use more effort.

Is your front crossmember square with the rest of the car?

well i have stock t/c rods but i do have battle version rods i havent installed yet, i guess now im going to install them, when the car was on the lift i did inspect the t/c rods and they seemed to be in good shape. im going to have to measue the crossmember/ t/c rods and see if their is a difference in lenght to determine if its is out of spec.

the coilover hights are even all around i measured the coils and i also measured form fender to lift.

my only other complaing is that i get a vibration on my steering wheel form 55-60 its wierd. im thinking its my outer tie rods ends.. wheels are new so they are mounted and balanced correctly..

i hate nyc roads...

If none of your steering and suspension components are loose or worn
then its a tire vibration. chopped tire wear, improperly balanced tires, or internal tire seperation. My steering wheel shakes/vibrates at that same speed, im just to lazy to balance my front tires.

1* from each other and 0.5* out from center is within the stock spec. So if you have the stock rods you are fine.

If you get Adjustable, You want to shoot for 7*+ and less then 0.5 from each other.

Most of the problems are when people park the TC rod brackets on stop blocks and curbs. Nismo TC rod bracket fixed this for me. Second is the FLCA's being bent from hitting curbs with the wheels.
