Is It Bad
Is it not a good idea to ground shit to the valve cover bolts? Would that be a good ground??

What is 'wud'? And why would you ground shit? More so, why would you even have shit under your hood?

LMAO
Sorry guys. Serious question though. Just trying to trouble shoot a buddies car. Cranks but no spark and we had some ground on the valve cover bolts but from what hes saying the valve cover has a rubber gasket, hence defeating the purpose of grounding anything on it?

ALSO Its not a good idea if the engine isn't properly grounded. There are a few hundred better places on the chassis to ground to anyways, plus it would look better. a working starter is a good sign that an engine has a proper ground. FYI

yeah we should all sport drag chains for better grounding. wow, that would be a funny story if you got pulled over.
"Sir, why are you dragging a chain...." "uh....better ground, officer.....duh"

No, it's not a good idea to ground wires to your VC. Also you should have proper grounds on your engine block, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, and cylinder head, sometimes a transmission ground if you are anal.

ground to the spot where your negative cable from battery goes (right above throttle body or below? *shrug*) and there's another good spot behind the head on the driver side, there's a wire that goes from the head to firewall, those are awesome spots....but if you want a hidden look to your grounding just find a nice spot on the chassis.
