Someones knocking on my motor....

I might know what the problems but can anybody tell what the problem is? When the car idles it starts knocking, its on a stock ka24. I know a swap would do the trick but for now i just wanna fix the problem. Anyone know hit me up thanks.

Low oil pressure causing the lifters to make noise. Change your oil. See if that does the trick, if not buy a ka or SRRRRRRRRR

could help to notice you live in corona CA...more like hello ref !!! JK/JK check your oil think its about that time..you sure its not the timing chain..those go out as well removin the upper and side guide helps but if not i think its time for a new chain!!

Using a screwdriver, put it on the valve cover over each cylinder and put your ear to it with the motor running. That will pinpoint where the sound is coming from. The lifter issue everyone has mentioned is a good start, but it may also be rod knock.

Unlikely but could be a stripped head bolt bouncin around. My buddys is like that now but that because the dude that swapped the head stripped it

thanks guysi appreciate the help. i'll check out those possiblities and get back to you. last night i did check the oil and it was way low so hopefully that could be the problem.

alright....did the oil change and.....it kind of knocks but not as much as before, i also tried adjusting the timing chain and that help alot. but for now im just going to invest in a SR. anyone know what they are going for

its surely about luck.. ofcourse there will be people here that will be like, "i daily my sr for bla bla years now with no problem".. but then there are those people that saw their cars crushed too.. haha
