MAFS replaced, Lost power!!

My stock MAFS(part# 22680 53F00) needed to be replaced, so the mechanic that replaced it for me,( i know i should've done it mysel but didn't have time) which I now regret, replaced it with a MAFS with a tiny bit smaller diamater(sp?) MAFS(part#22680 55Y00)

I was wondering if this MAFS is possibly from an Altima KA, I've been driving it for like 2 months now, and it now idles at 1k-1.1k rpm, also it feels like it lost power, for example when shifting from 1st to 2nd the tires dont chirp like they used to, i barely get a chirp now, as opposed to before i would really hear it. Also it smells like its running rich.

Could all these little problems be due to the MAFS being from an Altima KA, if in fact it is?
TIA,
Jose

it has nothing to do with the diameter of the MAFS. It has everything to do with you computer being setup for a specific part. Even the KA24E and the KA24DE in the 240 use different mafs that are barely different. You need to get the correct part, it's as simple as that. I have a couple, what year do you have?

i have a 92, but other than the slight loss of power(and it really is minimal) is there any damage that can be caused to my KA24DE?
And what's the part# for the '91-'94 MAFS that you have(if you by chance do have one)? Is it the same one that i listed that I had above?

BTW my car is stock other than I\E.
thanx
