Advice on trimming studs ?
I have a pair of 20mm and 25mm bolt in spacers for the front and rear (respectively). To use them with the wheels I have, I would need to trim the studs down a few threads either by grinding or cutting them so they would not smack the back of the wheel. Do you guys have any advice on what tool i should use and what is a better way of trimming them (grinding or cutting) ? I was thinking just taking it to the shop a block from my house and having them straight up cut a few threads off but I would rather do it myself.

Thread a open end lug nut onto the thread before you cut it.
Then spray some wd40 or put some oil onto the thread to help cut through. Depending on how much you need to take off, grind or cut off the excess. Make sure to keep lubricated. After you finish cutting, smoothing out the cut you just made, unscrew the lug nut so it can recut the threads. After that, just toss it on and torque everything down.

Exactly as he said. A bandsaw will make the smoothest, cleanest cut without damaging the threads, a sawzall is next in line. A grinder will cut fine but usually chews up the stud a little making it harder to rethread.
