Do kumho tires suck? I am asking because after many weeks of argueing over who did what wrong to my car, the shop that messed my bridgestone so-2 tires up will replace them with kumho z-rated tires.
So now, I need some input on whether or not to accept them, or keep argueing for my exact tires....
Help me...
-Jeff

I've heard a few people say there are better tires to be had. Mark doesn't seem to like them. I have the Kuhmo Supra ECSTA 712's and I like them...but I haven't really compared them to anything but the tires that came on it. I still think they're a good tire for the price. That's the reason your shop is trying to get you to take that "deal". Kuhmo's are only about $85 a tire...how much were your Bridgestones?

See...Kuhmo's are good for the price, but you'd be losing over $250. If the shop was at fault, I'd fight harder. You can almost buy two sets of Kuhmo's for what you lost with the Bridgestones. Good luck.

I dont like them, but thats just me. They are better then normal tires, but not a true high performance tire IMHO. Id rather get Yoko a520's for the price.

Only way I would buy these is if I had 18" tires and wanted a high performance tire. I dont want to spend 200$ on a tire when it lasts 30k miles, so I would just get the cheap Kumho's.

Jeff, as for your situation. Dont let them give you Kumho's they cost less for you and for them, so thats why they want to give those to you. If they are at fault then they must replace it with a product of equal value.

I have no experience with the Khumo's, but it's exactly that, for the price, you really can't beat them. However, if the shop is accepting blame for damaging your Bridgestones, they should replace them with exactly that, Bridgestones.
