wtf!! need help with my door

for some reason my driver side door does not open up no more. It happened in a matter of minutes. first i went back to my car to grab my wallet and went back to my car hopped in through the driver side and now i have to exit through the passenger side

as this happened to anyone?
its a 96

The rods that connect the latch, handles, and lock are joined with plastic pieces.

Eventually the plastic degrades and they break.

You're going to have to pull off the door panel and replace the broken ones.

its all good projectrdm. I help out people when i can cause this is what zilvia is all about.

is there a way to open the door? i can't open the door at all, so i cant even get the door panel off to replace the plastic pieces.

btw, theres your answer.. douchebag. :-)

if you cant open it from the inside OR the outside, then get a locksmith or someone with skills to do it for you. the latch mechanism is your friend, the handles are just long leverers with rods...

its all about the latch, proud2b3douchebag. :-) get that latch open

its a 96

Take the door panel off and inspect the latching mechanism etc. You can usually bend something slightly to get things working again.

thanks for all the advice guys i was able to fix it. It took some work to get the door open but after that it was smooth drifting. now im pretty sure i can help anybody else that runs into the problem.
