SR not going in gear

i got an s14 with an s14 sr but the tranny doesnt go into gear when car is on. I recently put the tranny in first gear and held clutch down and turned on the car and the wheels began spinning without releasing the clutch

sounds like your clutch is locking up. it could be because a spring broke inside the cluch and is rubbing up against it forcing the clutch to engage. thats what happened to me. i had a ACT stage 2 on for a while that did the same thing, and i guess it just got old. but, since mine would not stop engaging, i just roughed it all the way to my friends shop. he swapped the clutch for a new one, and its great now :] although its a stock one now

how does the clutch feel when you push the pedal down? soft, normal? have you adjusted your pedal?

yea thats true, im forgetting that first you would have to make sure that its not a hydrolic issue. granted that its not that simple, what happed to me may be the culprit. but lets just hope its only a slave cyl.! cause theyre not too pricey and you could probably get a nice nismo one to replace it

yes i replaced the clutch and throwout bearing and i also have a new nismo slave cylinder. When i try to bleed the clutch it only builds pressure about a 1/4 off the clutch pedal from bottom to top but when i open the bleeder the fluid comes out with pressure and no air in the system. I tried adjusting the rod for the pedal so many times and no solution

ok do you have the stock clutch line system or do you have the line connected straight to the slave cylinder? the same thing happened to me when i installed my throwout bearing backwards easy thing to do when your in a hurry but yeah the car wouldn't go in gear so yeah try that. I would say change your clutch but you did that it couldn't be you slave because its working so the throwout bearing might be installed wrong or the fork is off try to recheck that.

well i know for a fact that i didnt put the throwout bearing backwards cause i had the tranny out for two weeks and i made sure it was on correctly and as far as the fork goes im sure its on right cause it locked into place with that lil wire lock that it goes onto the pivot ball. Anyone willing to buy this s14 as is for $5500
