400 HP good luck. its more work then just a turbo

anyways if you expect 400 either is fine.
since 400HP takes LOTS of money, i'd go w/ the N1, its smaller and since you have so much money for 400 hp, you can buy a GT spec when you get near to 400hp level

of cousre you can get GT spec now because a lot of guys use it but its just really big and a waste imho. go N1, good power and well built exhaust.

so it basically comes down to your call.

The GT Spec sounds Badass on an SR.. and it being stainless, it will last a lot longer.

yeah i hear what your saying about the hp 400hp. BUt ihave build a few 400pluss and a 500hp honda. Mine was a 300hp b16. So im not to worryed about that. cause the nissan is fun to drive even with the stock sr20det, where hondas you had to hop them up just to make them fun. Anyways the gt spec is only 40 bucks more than the n1. Or im getting it for 540 shipped. Pluss i had a greddy on a civic that did not have stainless piping and it rusted throught. Also the sound is a bit of a factor. Any more oponions on the better sounding one?

ah most dont understand you have to do quite a bit internal work around/near 350 hp. some say 400, but on average internal work required around 350 for reliability.

good luck.
i say n1, its not ridiculously huge.

u want best sounding you get Fujibutso.
RS*R new ones are coming out soon too, SO NICE
www.rs-r.com

also check out some HKS ones (over priced imho)
Blitz makes nice exhausts.

Yeah i hear ya on the internals. but the sr makes up for it with the torque you get out of the box. So even 300 hp might be enough for me. Im just looking to hit 7's in the 8th, (we dont have a quarter). Im im honesty not sure what hp it will take to reach that as im new to the nissan stuff. Honda wise it would take about 270hp in a 2200lb car with LSD and slicks. Or about 350 hp witha 2600lb civic or integra, also needing LSD and slicks. But im more or less looking for the quality and durability, also the sounds is what i hear is a great selling point for the GT spec. Also how bad is the ground clearance witt that size pipe under the car?

Why are people always aiming for 400hp?

I would take the N1.

Isn't that Fujitsubo ? And you are correct, they sound awesome too. They have a TON of sound clips on their site too.

the big down side of the GT Spec is the huge canister.. If you need lots of ground clearance, it's not for you.

Good question, ok how about 397hp. LOL J/K I dunno all my customers seem to ask for 500hp but there honda guys. I just know that 400 is reachable with good tunning and a ton of parts where 500hp is very rare for sr's. Its weird, before every honda guy (real honda guy) wanted 300hp, then 400hp, now most people seem to shoot for 500hp. I just did a motor that made 543hp but the motor had about 12grand into it. Its a dart blocked honda

VERY rare in the USA.
somewhat rare in japan. big time tuners/drifters get 500ish-550ish on average. not much beyond that for the most part, but they do exist.
just lots of work.

dont know on the drop q, sounds better? that's personal opinion, i like the N1 more. the GT is nice but i think the N1 looks and sounds better

also i like your quote down there. I put my friends tenzo-r 18inch shu-4's on my car just to see the look as i love the rim. They were of a 96 integra and they need to stick out like another inch to look good. I want 17s but its damn hard to find nice rims witht he right offset. I also like the racing hart c2's and c3's but then theres the offset problem again

NOOOO!
its EASY
you MUST leave the KNOCK OFF crap market. tenzo, konig
all junk
get some REAL wheels that have proper offsets.

5zigen
advan
volk

etc
dont support knock offs. they just leach of real quality brands of wheels. get the real deal.

GT is DEFINATELY louder

with the prices i have seen lately, GT spec is actually cheaper than N-1 now. Maybe that's just retail price..

i hope you dont end up paying retail for all this stuff. (engine build up and all). that would be sucky.

go here

www.autoimaging.com

look at ALL the wheels available. look at the offsets and sizes available. you'll see how crappy tenzos, konigs, etc etc are. its sad how much they knock-off.

also check out the GP SPorts exhausts (performance section) as well asother exhausts. there is LOTS more then apex out there.
