Best thing to do is take the whole thing out at once. Manifold and turbo + turbo extension. than you have access to all bolts. Be sure to refill block with coolant as those hardlines are a pain to put back in the block.

now if you had a lift you could try and get at those back bolts, but I found that this is the easiest way when working with jackstands.

G'luck!

I second that. Just take everything out. Replace all the gaskets while you're in there. If you need new ones, get them from Wayne at Phase2 (he can probably overnight them to you). Get a new mani gasket (it WILL rip) and get a new gasket that goes between the mani and the turbo.

Then get all new stainless fasteners and lock washers so that sh*t doesn't come loose again.

You can get to the mani bolts without taking the turbo off? I can't get to them. I havn't tried that hard either though. This is on my SR. The motor is out of the car, so other stuff isn't in the way. just the turbo and Mani are on the exhaust side. Thanks in advance.

Yes. Just use a wobble for the tough ones. You can get all of them out with the turbo attached. I have done it personally.
