Ecu Codes
My check engine light came on last week so I ran the codes from the computer and pulled a 75 and a 93. A 75 is a EVAP LEAK (I have no idea what that is) and a 93 is not listed anywhere I have seen. Anyone know what a 93 is? Or what an EVAP LEAK is. I noticed that there is also a code for an EVAP Sensor, and I would imagine that if the sensor is bad it may report an EVAP LEAK.
Thanks!

Hey man, I am having the same issue as you with my '97. Basically OBD II uses for 4 digits in the code so the code 93 you're getting is actually code 0903, which is the evap control valve. I have been trying to figure out a way to solve this other than removing the whole damn emmisions system. The valve is behind the rear passenger wheel and can be replaced for around 60$, another cause can also be the fuel cap. I haven't tried replacing either one, i have seen people replace one or both of these parts only to have the light come back a month or so later. So until i can find a more definite solution i have just been resetting it when it decides to show up.
Were you able to fix yours? |
