Check it, a couple of friends of mine who also have S14s and myself will be going down to the local dragstrip on 04/05, a saturday for this little event being held for "imports and mini trucks" (yeah, I know NC sux, but hey)
here's the link, gates open at nine, but that will only be worth a crap if you wanna get in the show. I will likely do the job of meeting up with people at the hess gas station at exit 132 on I-85 seeing as how it's a block from my house. We haven't finalized what time we would be showing up there, but it will be open drags all day and we will keep this thread updated, anyone interested let me know, we should try and get a good number of us there...

thats a bit of a drive for us Wilmington peeps, but I will ask some of the 240 people around here seeing how the numbers are growing daily here if anyone is interested in riding up there with me. I will let you know after I get back from overseas, I am in Thailand right now and will be going to Japan until Sunday, when I should be back in the States.

Check it, I'll make it that much better then... Another guy from the board and myself were just kicking this idea around and we arrived with the idea to make this a full out meet for ourselves here... We start at the dragstrip, and when everyone would normally disperse and do what they do and everything, WE would wind up going to hooters with a saturday night (we do almost every other) how's about EVERYONE who shows join us, and from there, we will adjourn to celebration station where we, loaded on the beers consumed at hooters will get on the go kart track... How does it sound now?

brandon, phil, guess who's on zilvia now!!, lol. anyway, u guys know i'm in. even if i wasn't u guys would kidnap me and take me there anyway, so resistance is futile,lol. i've posted on freshalloy about this lil shindig u guys have come up with, hopefully we'll have a good turn out of peeps to come hang out. to sweeten the deal guys, i heard from a very reliable source that a FWD drift team will be making an appearance there......

Piedmont dragway, 04/05 is a saturday of course... About 10 minutes past that waffle house you met us at when we went to greenville, but it is exit 132, not 135... Brandon actually lives by that waffle house if you need it from there, but it is a terribly easy trip.

There is a link in my original post, and the directions are quite simple... You get on 40 in wilmington, it will meet back up with 85 in the Raliegh/Durham area, then you just stay on it until you get to exit 132, I will PM all interested with my phone number so I can be called, since I live closest to the meeting point, the Hess gas station, it sits right on exit 132 and from there it is a straight shot to the track... I was thinking of meeting between 12 and 1 or so, we can make a day of this. How many people you think you got coming with you?

We'll be looking for you, you'll see our little group, Steeles' black S14, Dirk's burgundy, Jason's is white and mine is blue... bish you know its purple!!!! yeah its easy to find and there will probably be a string of cards headed there. follow the rice. if you rice it they will come.....

No Bish, it's blue and yours had better be washed when we go too. The signs are never until you get near the end of mount hope church road though, but there WILL be a trail of rice leading up to it, I forgot about that.

Maybe I can make it to that? I'm in Havelock, and I have NO idea how far away that is from where I am. I'd check, but I'm too tired and my tooth hurts too much.. err.. the socket my tooth was pulled from hurts too much. So, basically I'm lazy.
I might also be in Beaufort by then, so at that point it'll be pretty much out of the question.

i'm glad some of u guys are gonna try to come out. we need help offsetting the rice factor. anyways, phil, got a question for ya. do u guys want to jus show up or do u wanna hang out and get in the actual show for the hell of it. jus wondering cause since i'm moving one of the things i unearthed is a big azz igloo cooler that i think would be perfect for food and beer, lol. i volunteer my car to be the lunch wagon, lol

"mental note"- when i really think about it, it's not the actual concept of rice that's all that bad, it's jus that people can't even get that right. i now support rice and shun posers. gotta respect a guy that is all show and sticks by that......

We will be there for the sake of being at the show for the most part... The drags are open to all who choose to participate, but I won't be running personally. The igloo is a good idea for beer, since it is allowed on the tracksite, but food won't realy be necessary, since we'll be going to hooters when we leave.

phil, i brought the prospect up because i'm not totally sure about the turnout, but i don't plan on parking far away or paying for food or drink or walking alot, lol. so i'm thinking if we all getting that at around the same time and parking in a nice little row, i'm gonna have the essentials: fold away chair with shade cover, beer, chips, a finger food of some sort, and some sandwiches of some sort in that big azz cooler, lol. and of course some ice cream for the kiddies

. i figure a trip to sams club should cover it for minimal investment. unlike u i don't have a 2 foot tapeworm in my rectum, lol, i actually get hungry before 7 pm, lmbo!!!!

lol, good question, cause i have no idea, lol. since i don't have a backseat at the moment if it won't sit in the trunk i'll jus put it behind the seat and go like that. we got 2 of em so it's either the big one or the slightly smaller one that goes, i know the latter will fit in the trunk no problem
