coilover/wheel clearance question

im fitting new wheels and was wondering this: if my wheels dont hit my coilover, does that mean im good to go? there is minimal clearance (a few millimeters) when the car is suspended on jacks. just wondering if i will run into problems while driving, or the suspension will all move together and i should be fine

Your question has a few different answers: for S13/S14 front suspension, clearance between wheel/coilover is not changed throughout suspension movement, so if your front wheel/tire already clears your coilover, you will have no clearance issues. The rear is a different story, however, as coil clearance is less during compression and vice versa. Share your setup with the rest of the class please.

Sounds like a great wheel size for the fronts. What's the wheel? Tires? Also, what coilover are you using. I was thinking about going with a 18x9.5 +22 but I know the 9.5s in the 20+ offsets have mm of clearance with some coils.

Did you do any fender work?

Wheels are rota p45r's, tires are potenza s02 245/40/18 all around. Coilovers are jic fla-2's. I deffinitely need a fender roll, maybe even a slight pull, depending on how low I decide to go

well, if you want to lower you car about half a inch gap between tire to fender, you will need to roll.. coz, i know your tires will rub on your fenders if you dont.
