Hello

I was wondering if the hose going from the fuel pump hooks on to the metal nipple on the sender unit as shown in the picture?

I have been getting conflicting information from the web, shops, and instruction manuals. Some say the hose connects to the plastic nipple and the metal one is not connected. Others say vice versa.

Any help is appreciated.

It looks like it's hooked up right to me. The other nipple is the return. I doubt you could hook it up backwards and the car still run.
