s13 Question and answers needed

I have an s13 and I have just put coilovers on, well it raised the front end a ton due to the Monroe struts that are on the front, the damper at the bottom of the shock won't allow the coilover to go all the way down. And before you say just take it off it won't come off. So here is my question would the factory sturts have a smaller bottom damper that would allow the coilover to go down further. Or is there a set of struts and shocks that I can get to cure this problem. Also I am looking for a good deal, I am a college student with not a whole lotta money laying around. Thank in advance for your help.

There aren't many people on this board with either monroe struts or collar type coilovers other than ground control, so it would really help if you could post some pics.

I think the phrase you're looking for is "lower spring perch", not "damper".

So the threaded collar can't slide down as far as you'd like because of the lower spring perch, correct?

That's what you get for buying cheap parts.

Not cheap

These are not cheap just didn't go about paying the 1200 dollars for a complete set, the comany that makes these is the same one that makes Skunk 2 and such. Again though any help that you can give other than don't buy cheap would help Thanks

Well

Let me put on the flame suit so that you all can flame instead of helping me out. I just asked a simple question, just to help clarify something. But guess no one can help thanks though, guess I will just have to prove that it can be done.

no one flamed you
no one can help you out because we've never done it
we press a lot of people ot have patience and get more money and get quality instead of a rush job
the guys who do, are very thankful once they do.
youwill too if you can wait a bit more. if worst comes to worst, pick up somebody's old stock suspension

other then that, you'll be the first we know to do this setup. good luck to you

trust me you didnt come anywhere near to being flamed. but if you like, we can rip on you A LOT MORE.
