![]() I am going to a strait drag car. and I ahve a question does HKS make a drag setup for the 240? I have seen it for sale on one site but not on their own. i would have to be the guy who didn't do his homework first and got screwed.
so anyone heard of this? HKS Hipermax Coilover DRAG for S13/S14 1989-98 240SX I found it on phase2motorsports.com and I hear they are a reliable source for parts. PS sorry to ca18guy for the misunderstandig earlier. |

Greaser on FA said the drag coilovers actually HURT his times over the stock suspension b/c they didn't let the car squat enough.
Probably depends on your setup though.

thanks for the great inside info. would you recomend any aftermarket setup for dragging? or is this somehint I should dial in to as i make runs? I mean shouldn't all 240's react the same off the line? with weight shift and all.

HKS drag coilovers are good for medium traction (drag radials), but they have too soft a spring rate for slicks on a grippy track. Stock suspension is best in loose conditions such as bad tires or slick track. You basically want the car to squat as much as possible without bottoming out. Low hp, low traction => soft susp. High hp, high traction => hard susp. |
