So I ordered my sr20 redtop about a week and a half ago for 2100 shipped, received it last night in good condition. Nothing appears to be broken or damaged from the sihpping. To my surprise I appearantly have the sr20 sparkle top lol. Bright sparkly purple painted valve cover. Everything else looks great though! Now lets just hope it works when I get it in!

I ordered an SR20DET redtop from japanmotorimport.com a few months ago and got screwed on a motor. Right from the beggining when I ordered it the payment never went through and he never told me so it was like 2 an half maybe 3 weeks before my motor came. When it did come there was a hole in the oil pan, he replaced it for free which i was happy about but he didnt ship it for over a week. so its been over a month and i havnt even got to do anything with my motor yet. When I put the new oil pan on I realised there was 1 bolt holding on the turbo and the gasket was in peices. the JMI guy didnt do anything to help. I askd him why it had an EGR on it he told me it didnt. Ther WAS one on he just said they dont have EGRs. so I cut it off, replaced the bolts, found a couple more missing from the exhaust. I got it all in and hooked up and motor did not run good. I needed a new MAF. again he didnt help me he said sensors arent under warranty. Well after that it would run but idle at 2000rpm. if I hit the gas it would clime an not stop till i shut the engine down. The shaft for the throttle plate was bent making the throttle stick open. He told me he will refund me for buying a (new) used one. Im still waiting for that $40. Then it ran but overheated. waterpump was junk, thermostat was completely done for. Still needs new IACV and alternator, doesnt idle or charge very good and the squeeky alt is embarrassing. I drove it about 800 miles, not driving hard just normal daily driving, neer hit the rev limiter or nuthin and there goes the head gasket!! WTF!?!?!?!?!? I am SOOOOOOO pissed and i emailed him about all this and he wont email me back or anything any more.

Morel of the story, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM JAPANMOTORIMPORT.COM!!!! please tell everybody on every forum you can not to buy from this company because I have ALL my money into this and its my only car im borrowing one from my parents to go to sckool and work. and for shit like this to happen I hope he never sells another engine ever again!
