yeah, since i bailed on my other project, i wont be needing this...

i now own 2 of the 4 i've ever seen, other two were on a 180SX Type X front clip, and the other on RHDjapan which is now sold, asking price on RHDJapan was $158+shipping from japan..

as far as i know, this was a rare option on an already rare 180SX Type X...

i've seen all other brands of front strut bars, Cusco, GReddy, OBX, JIC, APEXi etc etc etc, and nothing, NOTHING compares to the quality, and beefyness of this bar....

own something no one else has!

ends will be cleaned, and repainted prior to sale, it is over 15 years old after all...

entertaining trades, LMK what ya got.

bitch about the price, i can care less... i sell most my other stuff for really good prices, but it's hard to let this go, even though i don't have a car to put it on.... i'd rather hang it on my wall than sell it crack head cheap....

Which is more rare the Nismo or the Nissan one? They both look the same just with different stickers.

i believe the nismo one is more common as you could order it from a parts catalog, the Nissan unit was a rare option, on an already rare model...

do you know if it will fit over an S14 automatic/abs brake booster setup? the few strut bars I've tried couldn't be used because they hit the BMC.

I can always throw it on my S13 though...

either way I'll offer $150 shipped to 03276.

i have both the NISMO one and this NISSAN one... and i would have to say... the NISMO one is nice.... but this NISSAN is lighter and beefier then the NISMO one... either way... i would never sell any of them... they will stay in my collection of part for ever.... GLWS

i have mine on my S14, then saw this one pop up on ebay right when i was buying a s13, so i scooped it up, then sold the s13, so i have car to put it on... i don't want to sell it, as they're rare as hell, but i got no car to put it on, and i'd rather someone else who can appreciate it's rarity and beefyness put it to use...

Just wondering if you would be interested in trading for tc sportline carbon fiber strut bar? The bar it self is carbon fiber, not overlay. The Brackets are in pretty good shape, with wear marks from mounting and taking off. They are gold. Also the carbon bar has a VERY VERY tiny knick just on the surface of the gel coat. To be honest you would probably never know was there had I not mention now. Came from wrench end tapping it when trying to change spark plugs, and forgetting to take bar off first. Also on the right bracket might have came in contact with some brake fluid, so where some of the golt paint had worn off from mounting, it bubbled along the edge.

Then theres the metal ends of the bar it self that slide down in the strut tower brackets and the bolts go through. Tiny knicks from mounting etc.

All in all I give it be tween a 8.5 and 9 on scale of 1-10. 10 being new out the box. Nothing broke, and have all original hardware. If you were to powder coat or paint the brackets I would say it would be a a 9-9.5

here's mine on my S14, which was formerly an auto, never changed the booster or the BMC... as you can see, no clearance issues.

and I'm afraid that's a no go on the TC carbon bar, I'm trying to get rid of one, and not gain one, and there's no way in hell I'm ever going to replace mine with anything other than what i have....

that's cool. I see how you feel because there's no other bar besides the nissan one you have I would consider trading for, so looks like I'm keeping. If you don't mind me asking, what paint do you use to paint the ends. I was thinking of redoing mine in a diff color, but I'm not a pro at painting. Look for something that will hold and won't scratch off easily when I remove the bar to change plugs, and when I re-mount. GLWS

on mine i sanded down to bare metal, used dupont primer and HOK satin black...

with the one i'm selling, i'll be sanding the ends down, priming, and repaiting silver for the full OEM restored look, or i can custom color the ends... whatever the buyer wants.
