any risk in blowing an engine on purpose?

i have an 89 coupe. the engine leaks bad, knocks like heck, and spurts smoke from everywhere. im planning on replacing the engine within a few weeks, but figured i should have some fun with the bad engine first. the gas station about 1/4 mile from me sells gas at like 114 octane(turbo blue or something). im thinking of throwing a gallon or 2 in the car and screwing around one night till it stops running. it is an auto. my abuse will be contained to some donuts, runs down my works road, its about a 1/2 mile long and deserted

basically, will i risk any other parts of the engine or something else? im just going to go with the 16v swap w/a manual. and do i run the risk of taking my head off with a blown head or other part. i hope to video tape the ordeal , so i can reminiss about my first 240

thanks, matt

what if i was to combine running higher octane gas with removing the intake system or even intake manifold altogther

im liking the idea of driving around with no valve cover. maybe ill drain all oil and replace it with southern comfort. hmm, the possibilities.......

Thats freakin hilarious.
Reminds me of my old car, one 1988 Isuzu Imark Turbo. It was 145 horsepower and had 230 kms on it when I decided it should die (the 240 was comin in a month or so)

I tried and tried to kill that poor thing. The turbo pushed 9 pounds of boost and I stood on the gas in first gear for a freakin mile and didnt shift. Repeatedly. You know what a cooked turbo sounds like (before it cools down and its fine again)

anyhow I didnt damage anything else, and know what? The damn thing would probably still start up and purr like a kitten again if I tried right now. Bulletproof engine, I wish the rest of the car was like that!

GO PLAY WHACK A MOLE

If you're going to try any of that stuff, take off your hood. A fire in the engine bay would SUCK if you had the hood on. Been there, done that.

Man, to bad your car isn't a 5speed. You could just highly over-rev the engine. I had a picture of an rsx-s going from 6th to 2nd and appx. at 15K... holes in the block and pistons INSIDE the intake manifold. But other sugg. would include taking off the valve cover and then just putting random metal sh1t in various nooks and crannies... sounds like I'm talking about food... mmm..... its late, food sounds good..

Personally, i've got an engine that's going to be swapped out soon enough (ka24e) but I think i'm going to rebuild it. I wanna see if I can find some way to mount a supercharger on it, change the cams and then throw it into an older pathfinder to go offroading in.
