Well if the intercooler has oil in it, so does your piping.

recirculate the bov. oil can mean that the turbo is is going out, or a lot of blow-by. get a catch can if its blow-by

If i am reading this right

You have a new (to you) BOV--which is the HKS one and you have your old BOV.

You have tried the new (to you) HKS BOV and it makes your car run like crap. However, if you use the old one it runs fine. Correct?

I would say the BOV isn't getting a good seal causing your car to run rich and consequentially like shit. At idle you should not notice the non-recirculated BOV.

When you get a good BOV either recirculate it or get your car tuned to run without it recirculated.

I think the old one is the HKS..He never specified what the new one was.

Before you had no BOV it ran ok? Then you put an old HKS NON-recirculating BOV on and it runs like shit? Get a NEW BOV and have the car tuned for it. Having a recirc or not BOV should not make the car run like crap. With a NON-recirc it will shoot flames because the ECU is still dumping fuel when the BOV is letting the air go.

A shitty BOV that doesnt seal will make the car run like crap at idle cuz its just a big vacuum leak.

Hopefully you guys can understand this one...

To begin with, wen i barely got my swap, i had no bov installed. I had an old hks bov and wen i put it on, it started idling and running like shit. Afterwards, my intercooler was covered in oil. Once i took off the bov, my car ran perfect. My question is why does it idle wen i put the bov on and how can i fix that??

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the car supposed to idle with or with out a BOV...? If we can't understand what the hell you are trying to say, we can't help you.

So first, please, think it thru before you try again to explain yourself.

Sounds like you have an air leak somewhere. What motor do you have? Are you positive the vaccum lines are correct??

I already checked the vaccum lines. I do have a air leak but did not know that would trigger my car to idle when i put the bov. Im going to fix the air leak and if i put the bov and it still idles i might just recirculate my bov thats my plan.

BOV maybe is stuck? Does the BOV actually blow off or is it open the whole time? It sounds to me like it's just constantly venting to the atmosphere. This definetly sounds like a problem with the BOV. Either that or you have your vacuum line to the BOV wrong.

After reading what you wrote, this is what Maiku is talking about.. YOUR SAYING it Idles when you put ON the BOV.. Your NOT saying it IDLES LIKE SHIT when you put ON the BOV..

It's Seems your Mind is running a Million Miles an Hour and your fingers are thumping around like a drunk slob that can't put a " T " at the end of " wenT ", But is able to put a " T " everywhere else....

Before you pick someone out to put on Blast, make sure you got your Shit straight....

People here are trying to help you, But if you type in a,Gibberish langauge, a language of rushed and mixed thought's, then this is what your going to get.

On that Note: Yes it sounds like a Air Leak..
Check all Vac Lines ( as you stated, there is a Air Leak... Fix it )
Can you YouTube a Video of it Running? ( with and without BOV)
Make sure you take a good look over of all connections ( couldn't understand one post where you said there was Oil ON your Innercooler... Is it ON it or IN it? There's a big difference if it's ON it.)

Talking well i just finished recirculating my bov.

My car does not idle at all but cant really hear the bov does not matter anyways. But for some reason my car feels a little faster. Now the only problem is the oil on the intercooler and also the air leak. Thanx for the advice to recirculate it do not have to worry about that no more.
