PORTED s-14 KADE intake mani, AWESOME for KA-T or s-13 KADE!!!
I hand ported this mani and got completely through the runners. I was careful not to change the shape of the port where it meets the head so that the mani will work right with a stock head. This would be an AWESOME upgrade for an s-13 KADE (especially KA-T) as it also elimintaes the stupid secondary butterflies in the s-13 mani.

I ported the area near the head initially with a grinding stone that is for porting aluminum, then I smoothed it up with a sandpaper flapper bit. The runners and plentum I just worked with the flapper disc to smooth the casting defects and marks. The finish is as smooth as I would want it to be. You don't actually want to polish your ports, you want a certain finish. A small amount of roughness on the walls creates a turbulent boundary layer, which increases airflow and prevents fuel from gathering on the port walls.
