Help on DIFF oil

i need to know what diff oil to run in my VLSD .

would like to use lukas or royal purple .

Gear oil. 80w90 GL4
you do not need any additives for VLSD.

Generally the VLSD is not too picky with oil. You may use anything as long as the viscosity is correct.

VSLD is a sealed unit. Anything the open diff is happy with they VSLD will be. Synth is fine.

75w-90 GL4/5. You can run GL5 in the diff but not the MT. So, I just buy GL4.

not to sound noob and shi*, but i heard that there is *special* dif oil that locks up the vlsd really good!!!

anyone know anything about that?

VLSD is a sealed unit in the Nissan. Anything you put in the pumpkin won't affect it.

Nissan recommends 80W-90, but 75W should be fine too.

wow thanks for the thread jack.. also thanks you for the info im going to do a full fluid flush on my sr20 coupe tomorrow and that's on the list.

this is what im going with

75/90 Synthetic Gear Oil : Lucas Oil
