Is this a real jdm sr20det fuel pump???

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33555

hi....well i got ripped off...because i thought that this fuel pump was a s14 model and found out it wasnt when i had pulled my stock fuel pump out it did not look the same and i compared it with my brother's fastback 240 and the top of the pump looked the same. So what i am doin is changing the pump it self with my stock one. What i would like to know is; is this a true stock jdm s13 fuel pump? The sr20det fuel pump?? If it is not then would it be harmful to use this one instead of the one that's on my car now?

please reply with any thoughts a.s.a.p. because i'm changing them out right now....thanks...

by the way...i have a 95 240sx

Nah.. that's a s13 pump. Looks stock, and USDM, too. Not that I've seen a US s13 pump in life, but based on that pic, and others I've seen, it's just stock.
No, don't use it. Seeing as it's stock, and yours is stock, keep yours. If you notice the pickup sock angle, the s13 is 90*, and the s14 is 135*-ish. That's because the s14 has a saddle tank that slopes downward. If you use the s13 pump, you'll run out of fuel sooner, and run into a problem if you're low on gas, and take hard turns. It's just bad.

well i just used the main pump itself and i took the old sock and put it on there. I took it for a drive around the block and nothing happened. What would I notice that is a bad thing from this pump? I went ahead and changed it out because my stock s14 pump was really rusty.

thanks for reading

do anybody think that this would ok? I wouldn't think it would be harmful because if that fuel pump that i bought was from a s13 type 240sx then it would be ok since it has the ka24de engine just like the s14 type 240sx.....right?...anybody?

thanks again..

It's fine. Just, if you wanted a hi-flow pump for something, get it. If you have a s14, go through www.ftfmotorsports.com for the only s14 Walbro kit around.

Does the silvia/180sx have a different fuel pump from the 240sx? I wouldn't think it would, but what do I know. . .
