Prototype Ferrari Enzo
http://www.autoblog.com/2011/01/03/o...nzo-prototype/
"It's not every day that a Ferrari mule comes up for sale, but that day, ladies and gentlemen, has arrived. What you see here may look like an old 348, maybe with some 355 components retrofitted. But what you're actually looking at is one of the mules that gave rise to the all-conquering Enzo supercar. The car may wear modified 348 bodywork – disguising evaluation testers with existing sheetmetal is common practice in Maranello – but like so many things, it's what's inside that counts. And in this case, it's a 670-horsepower V12 derived from the Scuderia's Formula One racing program, but adapted for roadcar use and mated to a six-speed paddle-shift transmission. Enamored of the Enzo's performance, but less so of its styling? This could be your once-in-a-lifetime chance. Think of it the same way as the 288 GTO was to the F40, only one-of-a-kind, and suddenly the Langenfeld, Germany dealer's 750,000 Euro (a cool $1M at today's rates) asking price doesn't seem quite so extravagant, though it's not much cheaper than a full-on factory Enzo." Startpage: MODENA MOTORSPORT Enzo Prototyp, one off 2000 Engine: V 12 Power: 680 PS Gearbox: 6 Weight: 1365 kg / 3003lbs History Condition The only working test car for Enzo production, which ever left the Ferrari factory. Engine is nearly like Formula One 1991 680 PS, 30 PS more than the production engine. The car was bought directly from the factory and comes with the factory certification. It is a real collector car, it is the mother of all Enzos and 599. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I can't imagine the ridiculous maintenance one of these cars needs and then mixing that with a car that has no service manual and parts pulled from all corners of the warehouse. I like the rear fenders though. I wonder if they remove and there's nothing behind them for easy access to the engine. So stuff like changing out an alternator doesn't involve dropping rear subframe.

This is one sick car! My buddy has a 430 and constantly bitchin about $2k brake job and $5k tune ups. I'm like, STFU you can afford the damn car, you should be able to afford the maintanance you cheap bastard hahaha. I told him to seriously just buy the parts and install it himself for normal maintance. He's thinking about selling it for a Scuderia but his wife said NO hahaha.
