sorry, i searchend and couldn't actually find a thread that helped me.

the lid was stuck shut, so i reqached in back through the opening in the carpet and pulled the emergency release, i checked the cable, not broke, but the handle only goes down about 1/4", the cable isn't moving far enough.

either the handle needs some work or the cable needs to be tightened, can anyone help

Hey! Mine is goofed up also. What I did was to bend the inner latch (the one that pulls down) just enough so It barely latches, but you can touch the opposite side of the lid and it will swing open. It will not open during even radical driving. I will look into mine and see if it can be fixed properly today. A can of WD40 and some bending of the latch mechanism should do the trick.

Mine is an S-13 Hatch
