slave cylindar piston commin out??!!
I have went through 3 slave cylinders now trying to bleed my clutch. I have tried adjusting the pedal adjustment for the master cylinder all the way towards the drivers seat to minimize the force of fluid flow, but the damn piston still keeps popping out.
Components- Exedy OEM replacement clutch OEM s13 slave cylinder OEM s13 master cylinder Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

So the slave is over extending itself out? You got the right TOB/carrier on it? Sounds like something is off. A ghetto fix if you dont want to drop the tranny...swap the slave cylinder rod piece with something longer so it wont let the slave over extend itself.

x2, you can take a longer bolt, cut the head off it and grind the tips to a slight point and use that.

Just to be clear, you backed the rod as far out as it can go (bracket TOWARDS the firewall), or you backed the bracket back toward the seat.... The former will do as you intended and create less throw on the slave, but the latter will produce more throw.

Correct....if you move the bracket TOWARD the firewall (more of the end of the rod sticking out of the bracket on the pedal side), this results in less throw of the slave cylinder.
