I'm guna grab a N/A 300zx VLSD... I been looking around at diff junk yards and found one. I sure hope its in good shape. or this will be all for not.
Question #1 Where can I pick up the output shafts cheep?? I'm willing to buy them new from nissan but someone must carry them? Question #2 Do you think I should replace the Diff bushings on the frame? I duno how long these need replaced if at all. and if yes who has high performance ones? REFRANCE POINTS! <-- I'm going to start adding sites I get info from for people who do a search or read this. http://www.240sx.org/faq/articles/li...fferential.htm http://www.zilvia.net/installs/lsd/lsdswap.asp http://www.240sx.org/links/installs/lsd2/index.htm http://www.240sx.org/links/installs/lsd/lsd.htm AND THE BEST SITE EVER! http://auto.howstuffworks.com/differential.htm

output shafts are NOT cheap. sorry
why a z? the gear ratio is WAY funky for our car. its a highway gear type ratio...high speed racing! bushings? there are not. just bolts. wait..nto sure on the front two, but s13 has no bushings on the diff! s14..i think does.. |

Aaron: the TTZ has a way different ratio than the S13/J30/Z32 etc
TTZ is like 3.7 whereas the others are between 3.9 something and 4.08 |

If you look the Non turbo 1990 300zx LSD its a 4.083 <- same as our cars.
http://webpages.charter.net/alckyz/zspecs.html And yes the 1995 240sx has bushings on the differential mounting spots. If you hit HowStuffWorks the Final Drive Ratio on the spec sheet of cars is the differential ratio!
