Need some quick help with MAF's

So i just put an rb25 in my s13. I had the harness professionally converted by Carisma.
well the car seems to break up pretty bad once i hit full boost and i putting tons of black smoke out the exhaust when it starts to break up, which leads me to believe that it is running rich.

well i ran the part number on the MAF (22620 05U00 A36-000 J70)
and it ended up being a stock MAF from an rb26dett

now my question is, will the fact that its an rb26 MAF cause it to be running like this?

the motor is all stock besides a FMIC and freddy intake manifold..

thanks for the help
Adam

Full boost

U running rich only on fullboost? If the MAF hit its limit then you would run lean, not so?

More likely at full boost your plugs arn't igniting the compressed mix properly.
I'd say go for iridium plugs to increase your voltage per discharge area. You could also sharpen you platinmus and gap em down a bit to see.....but that wo't last very long b4 they get blunt again.

The rb26dett maf is real weak I think they are only good for about 250 whp when single used fuck sr20 maf get ya better than that. Any way you look at it you should change maf.
