i just bought s 1990 240 with 124k miles silvia front end 5 speed 1800 bucks blah blah blah

anyway the problem im having is that when i bought the car yesterday the guy said the battery would die after about 30 min. so i figured ok it needs a alternator or something so i took it out brought it down to the auto parts store and had it tested....it tested good so i had them test the battery too and it tested bad ...i bought a new one installed everything but its still doing the same thing which is that when you rev the motor the lights turn off and the gauges stop working then sometimes when you let off the gas everything will work again otherwise you have to rev the motor while turning the lights on and off till they come on...

so if anyone has idea clue wtf is going on please inform me!

Check your ground wires. Check your fuses . Make sure you don't have crusty stuff build up under the fuses and the ground wires. Also check the wiring for the front end conversion.
