my rb20det starter to smoke did a compression test and this came out

i thought it was the turbo and i took it out turbo seems fine no shaft play
im buying a rb25 and need some money

my mechanic says it could be valve steam seals the runs great but smokes
it only comes with engine tranny ecu harness
no mounts

so im gettin a good uncle sams refund and am buying a rb25

1000 obo
the motor still in da car,u could test drive it or do a compression and see its not low

tranny shifts really good ,clutch its eedy stage 4 i thinl cause its really stiff

from the sound of what you are saying it sounds like you need new rings and valve seals...thats why its smoking, just throwing that out there so no one gets screwed over, 1000 is a bit high for a motor thats about to give! ....
