an idea about replacing the fuel lines...
well a couple days ago I discovered that I have a rupture in the fuel line. So got quoted 600-700 to replace it. The reason for that is because they have to take off the diff. and the rear subframe. So I was thinking it would be eassier and cheaper to just not use the fuel lines themselves and just get a a fuel line kit w/ stainless stain braided hosing and then running them from the pump to the engine. I don't know either I should run it inside or outside the car.
do any of you guys see any problems with this set up?

you gotta be kidding me!
You should go back to the shop you had quote you that and threaten to report them to the BBB! I personally swapped those lines in about 45 minutes TAKING MY TIME from the fuel tank access hole inside the trunk. I think we charged the customer an hour of labor and parts to do it which totals up to be ~75 bucks! 6 or 700 bucks my a$$! |

the hard lines too?
is it that hard to change out the lines? do you really have to take off the diff and the sub frame? is it ready accessable? and this is for an S14

could always just swap over to braided steel lines if you are going to do the work anyway
