so what keeps a ka24de form useing sr20det coil on plug?

me and a friend were thinkin about this today, and i read that you can use a ka dist on a sr motor, so we got to thinking what stops us from slappin the cas, and coils, and harness and maybe even wireing and ecu onto the ka? we were thinking about what to do on our ka24de-t motors we were makeing......only thing i could think of was that the sparkplug boot would be too short for the ka? any ideas? this place i emailed said the sr and the ka ecu were almost identical, so i was thinking use 370cc injectors and check out how many of the sensors were the same......

What are you asking? Do you just want to use the coil packs, or do you want the whole distributorless ignition setup?
The KA distributor on a SR was way back in the day, and used a modified (JWT) ECU. People don't do it anymore.

i was thinking the whole ignition, yah i know very few people use the ka dist on a sr but why cant we use the whole sr distless on a ka?, i was thinking use most of the sr stuff like the ecu (not sure if i have to for distless, as i dont know if the ecu contains its portion) then have the ecu remapped to compensate for the extra .4L of displacement. i had emailed the guy whole sold daughter boards from austrailia and he had said that the 2 ecu's were almost idnetical and could use the same daughter boards and chips.......
