water temp question

hey, I purchased a while back, an inline adapter for the radiator hose, that puts an outlet for a sender, but that was for my water temp gauge, now I need a thermostat sender for my altima fans to turn on, or even before I ask, how do you people run your fans, maybe im going overkill, anyway back to the question, the adapter only has one hole for one sender, can I piggy back this sender to the thermostat, I am sure that I cant, just want to make sure,

then this guy said he will drill out another hole in the adapter for me to run the tstat sender, but this wouldnt conflict with the other gauge as they are sharing the same ground and billit piece would it? thx.

na u dont need adjustable thermostat bullshit. wire it to the fuse box/ground it. it will run on as soon as u turn the keys. and no dont drill throttle body sensor holes. just use a rad. hose adapter u have.

no no, I wasnt talking about drilling holes in anything sept the adapter for the hose, that I bought originally for the temp sensor guage, so all you guys just run on all the time, why not get a tstat? it would prolong the life, ? just wondering,

99% of the fin mount type adjustable thermostats are complete crap, that's the main reason people avoid them. I've yet to see one continue to work for a prolonged period of time. Using the OE wiring is safer and more direct.

Running them on permantently wont only cause a lot of drag on the alternator but will wear the fans out extreemly fast.

CSR makes a realy nice digital temp readout and fan controler unit, $120 , also stores maximum temp, Power Enterprises also makes a nice analog gauge with controler but its $$$, maybe you could sell your current gauge and get one of those and kill 2 birds with one stone?

If you already have a controler yeah I would sujest adding a second fitting to alowe you to run your gauge and controler off the same tube adapter, If you are worried about 2 sensors ask them to tig a little fitting on it so you can run a small ground wire to the block to prevent any grounding problems running 2 sensors on the same adapter.

what ever you do dont get a fin type thermostat, they are junk.

r240na, thats why I wouldnt be using a fin mount, Id be drilling another hole in my adapter so I could use a sender, but anyway, that adapter already has a little screw for grounding a wire to the chassis, otherwise it wouldnt work, im just wondering if 2 sensors on it would be a prob, sometimes elecrical stuff gets weird, but anyhow this guy will do it for free, so worst I have to do is block it off, but anyway ill check on those controllers too,

I dont think youll have a problem, if you do run a slightly thicker ground wire but you shouldnt need to
