Question Does anyone have this intake on their car?

http://www.procarparts.com/store/dis...PLAL-XXDO-AISX

I was wondering what the fitment/performance was on it, it seems like it would work and is TONS cheaper than the brand name ones. Thanks all.

yeah, way cheaper on ebay, then make you own.
I got a 3" bent aluminum pipe, polished it myself and bought a cone filter and Mf adapter off ebay, then moved my battery to the trunck and made a custom shortram intake. way better than any ghey after market ones.

actually its the same as the "ghey" aftermarket ones, the performance is absolutely the same. Hell I even raced my friend with an injen w/cae intake last night and I only have a cone filter on my stock piping, It makes no dif, we were dead even except I just got a better start. We have the same mods, intake and exhaust. You just spent more time on yours, the only good thing would be the 25 lb relocation of your battery which isn't much but it helps. I just wanted to see if these actually fit but it seems like no one has bought one .

the pipe doesn't look as big as injen or AEM. you can see by the yellow conenctor thingies, they shrink in quite a bit. oh well, hard to see from the picture.

Yeah I bought one off E-Bay and aside from some slight modifications to it, I like it alot. There is one hole coming out of the pipe that you have to plug and there is a hose under the intake pipe that won't connect, but it hasnt given me any problems at all.

Being in Socal and dealing with smog laws, I will have to shell out for a CARB legal intake, otherwise everytime I smog I'll have to swap the original equipment back in

If you think about it, you only have to smog your car every 2 years and it's not very hard to swap the original equipment back in. I have a hole cut out of my airbox and a k&n so it looks pretty much stock. I still have to swap a normal airbox in there if I want to pass smog, of course.

I agree the swapping wouldn't kill me, but hanging on to the parts forever just to use for several hours every two years would annoy the faulk outta me.
