how to reset z32 rear calipers
hey guys
i've googled it everywhere... and i can't find it so i need some help. i have the piston retractor tool the cube, but the pistons on the z32 calipers don't have that so it wont work.... and i read somewhere that you need to twist it back in like other rear calipers... but with no indentations on the z32 caliper how do you twist it? some help? and where and what tool to buy to reset the pistons? thanks in advanced |

u dont need to twist the pistons... you can use a "C-Clamp" or similar an just push the pistons back into the Bore...
that whole "twisting" thing is for calipers that have integrated e-brake.

ohh, that's awesome, one more question...
should i be able to just push in the pistons with just my finger strength alone normally? because im trying to push it in with my fingers alone and it's not even budging... so wondering if it needs a rebuild... cuz i remember on my other car it goes in real easy these aren't going in real easy... and a friend told me that if it doesnt go in real easy... u need to rebuild it... just wondering how the z32's are thanks! |

From what I remember, usually they are a real bastard to compress.

Just get a caliper compressor, there $10 at any auto parts store, if its hard to push back in with that then i would suggest looking into a rebuild. Or if its super hard, but you can get it back in then bleed it out good with some new brake fluid after there all re assembled
