Custom Paint Color

Hey guys, finishing up my s15 conversion soon and I'm having an extremely hard time finding the color I'm looking for. I've looked through 30+ pages of the definitive paint thread and could not find a color that suits what I'm after.

Think the Midnight Purple from the R32 Skyline, but instead of a hue of purple, I want the hue to be red. I want to car to appear black but when the light hits it you can see a nice red color.

If you guys could post any shades of red that resemble the Midnight Purple that would be most appreciated, with paint codes too please. Thanks

Yeah, I'm still on here. For a while I just really involved in the xb scene. But I just picked up my 3rd 240 since that one, so I've been a little more active. The car's looking good man, can't wait to see it done.

i think you're likely looking for a candy brandywine or persimmon, tinted darker, but I think it's basically what you're looking at. Look at house of kolor's webpage.

KBC01 - Brandywine

helikz, I think you have the right idea. How would I go about taking the Brandywine color and making it darker though?

brandywine is a basecoat, house of kolor also sells every pearl you can think of.

one idea i got while looking at their online shop was a red pearl over a black basecoat.

you could also do the reverse, if you wanted something completely ill, you could go black base, red pearl like seen above, but use a metajul pearl tinted with the red/black which is an extremely fine metallic pearl that can be tinted with any of their other pearls.

Buyer beware though, House of Kolor paint is not cheap, and I wouldn't trust the work to just anyone.
