Question s14 window thing

how do you get that thing off? (the green highlighted unit) do i have to take everything it's attached to first? I just need to replace that one part to get my driver side window working again.

I tried getting the screws off from the back but i think i messed up one of them..

is there an easier way to get that piece off? suggestions? thanks!

The circle part right below (7 o'clock) is part of the window motor too. And yes, you will have to remove the glass and the track to remove the motor. Did it, hated it.

i got to it, w/o removing my window. i unscrewed the 'door glass sub-channel adjustment' and iirc, 1 or 2 other screws so the motor would be movable. after that's accomplished, i was able to unbolt the 4 screws that were visible (on the window motor). and vuala! same procedure but in reverse.

key factor: im asian, about 5'5. small hands were definitely needed.

and if u do it this way.. make sure you have control of the window glass.

It's a bitch. I had to remove & replace the entire door innards, in a parking lot, after a jerk sold me his door off NICO (and failed to mention that he stripped it clean).

Let me know if you figure out how to properly align the tracks again. My window is now loose & makes loud noises when I roll it up.
