s14 CS 14 Zenki headlight Cover

Ive been looking fot an alternative option to improve the look of my zenki headlights. I went over the option of doing an s15 or kouki swap but I wanted to try something alittle different. So I ran into couple threads introducing the clear cover option Circuit Sports S14 Zenki Headlight Cover

Does anybody have these? If so hows the fitment? I found only one thread talking about the cs covers and having to trim them. It was also mentioned that a guy name spence on 240sxforums who used to make these covers (2007).

So if you guys can help me out and throw out some opinions I would really appretiate it.(fitment...installation...etc)

they fit... sort of. cutting? generally unnecessary. just take a ton of rtv (or sealant/adhesive of your choice) and glob it on there. it'll take up the slack in any gaps between the headlight and the clear cover.

the metal retaining clips may or may not fit. depends on the lens and even the specific clip. some did for me, some didn't.

more important than fitment is lighting quality. without the fluting in the stock headlamp cover the lighting pattern looks retarded. super super super duper inferior to stock lighting even with yellowed covers.

Dimensions are the same, only difference between the 2 is that USDM, the whole inner housing is a single adjustment. Meaning you adjust the low beam, the high beam will move with it. The JDM one, you have 2 seperate inner housing for the low and high beam. You can adjust each independent of each other.

12K HID in purple is mandatory when running these clear lenses.

Agree with Flip. Only difference is the jdm models are independently adjustable.

I've got the CS ones. I didn't trim them. Go to autozone/napa/etc etc and pick up some of this stuff to seal them:

Here's the link to my thread on tsx retro and the clear covers: http://zilvia.net/f/tech-talk/269529...ight-lens.html

If you use the sealer stuff I posted pics of, it works great! Nor did I have to use gobs of it lol I'm pretty sure it's the same sealant from the factory. (discovered this after installing led tails) +1 on the metal clips. IF you can get them back on do so. I got some on, some wouldn't fit. Also correct on the lighting. Ya, the CC will look a lot better. But your light output is going to suck ass. I'd recommend doing a retro if you've got the $$$.

im gonna keep adding to this and say the light output SUCKS ASS. my 5k HIDs make it better for me, but not other people on the road. tho i dont get flashed tooooo much. ha. just been too broke to retro-fit, which should be mandatory when putting the clear covers on, unless you dont drive it at night. before you buy them, buy some projectors with the ballasts n all that junk first. the brightest point of th light output serious look like this.... ><
i never had to trim mine, then again, mine arent CS. i didnt have to use a lot of sealant at all on the headlight covers. it was the corner covers that sucked real bad.
