Ignition Key ring LED

Not a regular simple thread, THis is for those people who want their ignition key ring light to stay on when the door opens and turns off after few seconds after the door shut.
Any one know how to do it?

You would need to tie the ground of the key ring like to the door switch I believe.... That is it.... Key ring light is an optional light you can install around the key cylinder of the ignition.

Do you have courtesy lights? If so, wire it up to that. Otherwise, figure out the time delay stuff as mentioned above.

Then why post anything...?

Which car do you have or what car are you trying to wire up the key light? S13 or S14?

If you have a s14 you wire it up to the dome light. On s14 the dome light has a delay so that it will stay on for a bit and then turns off. S13 are different from what I have been told.

My key ring light is on 24/7.

Do I care, no.

It's a single LED. It would take ages for it to burn out, or kill my battery.

First of all let me clear up, this is for s13 so its a little complicated since S13 doesnt have courtesy light nor relay timer like s14 does.
Second of all do yall even fucking read? i already said this is not a simple way of just wire it up to a power source and let the light lights up all night. A fucking 12 years old know how to do that.
Now, for those who has the knowledge of this (install the key ring LED with relay timer), please share how to wire it up because things are easy to say than done.
And please understand, im doing this is because this would help out someone after me. I tried to search but mostly i found are for sale threads or "wire it up to power source". Believe me, there are people pay attention to these little things and key ring LED is popular for 240sx community.

I've also wanted this, and also thought about using a relay and hooking it up to the cabin light that turns off and on via the door switch.

I've lookin the FSM to see how it was setup in the Q45, but it seemed too complicated to copy.

I have mine connected to +12v acc. LED turns on with the key in either accessory or on position. You can wire it up whichever way you feel like.

My S14 dome light doesn't have a delay... it turns off once the door closes. '96 SE

First of all, some S13s do have courtesy lights. My S14 dome light or lights do not have any time delay what so ever. Once the door closes, lights off.

a Key Ring Led is popular in the 240sx community..... what happened zilvia?
