so I finally found some time to be without my baby and its being painted this week. There was a little fendfer damage from a kid who backed into me, as well as a very disturbing rust blister under the driver side rearview mirror (the only rust on the entire car), a scrape from when I backed into my dads car, a scuff on the bumper from when I got the car and a few other minor things. To look at the car, even up close you would say the paint is amazing, really. Ill post a pic below.

anyhow the point of this post isnt to gush on how much better its going to look when its done, but its a warning I got from the paint guy doin my car, and one I would like to pass on.

I dont like rust. No one does. Especially on my paint (I can stand a little bit underneath tho)

anyhow this rust blister under the mirror...a month ago it was the size of my thumbnail...now its the size of half my hand. And when the body man took the trim off the door that goes under the mirror, it was rotten too, like chunks missing.

the moral of the story is this: Fix it if you can at all before it spreads, especially on painted surfaces to avoid ruining the cars finish. My rust problem was about three times bigger than I thought it was, than I could SEE and im glad I caught it when I did.

errr...yeah the pic I attached...my car is the 240 and thats the one im talkin about... the green car (which also has door rust, as well as hood rust and trunk rust) is my friends "not so grand prix")
