s13 Bad ECU??? EGR help..

So my ECU has been throwing code 32 since i got my car. S13 SOHC. I have replace the EGR valve, Plugs, O2 Sensor, PCV valve, CAT, and MAF. My vacuum lines not brand new but i cant find any leaks. Also cleaned the TEMP sensor right after the EGR. Everything is where it should be. After replacing and double checking everything. i still get the code 32. I will be checking the IACV valve here soon as i can. Does anyone have another idea of what i might be over looking. Or does this sound like a bad ECU. Starting to piss me off.

Pulled this off another 240sx website....info is pretty much correct. You'll need a Factory Service Manual though to see how & where everything should be hooked up.

...click on this link --->>> EGR

Hope this helps...

think about this. the computer is not magic. it has to rely on a electrical signal to know something is wrong. the egr valve for example is totally mechanical. how could that generate a code? code 32 is specific to california and the egr temp sensor is specific to california.

code 32 in the FSM means there is an issue with the EGR valve, so nothing else should really be affected you will have those isolated items to worry about the EGR valve, solenoid, BPT, and temp

check the FSM procedure for diagnosing the EGR its possible that the ecu is reading wrong it says so in the fsm but try that first

http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/240sx/91-94/EC.pdf

page 43

diagnostic code: 32, detected items: egr function, malfunction is detected: EGR valve does not operate, EGR valve spring does not lift, remedy: replace EGR valve, solenoid

thats from the FSM, but i guess for CALI models it could also be the temp sensor...

but i wouldnt say doh doh doh when the code could mean more than JUST the temp sensor...

code 32 only occurs in california cars. the trouble shooting guide in fsm only mentions testing the temp sensor. there is no way the computer is going to know if egr valve is lifting. there are no sensors monitoring that. the fsm is wrong quite a bit.
