well i noticed when i changed my rack and pinion there was a "boot" of some sort on the colum going to the rack and pinion. i moved the boot and noticed something that looks like an hex or something.

could you guys share what that is used for IF it is used at all?.

this is on a s13. i will take pics a little later trying to get some wiring done on my car.
