They're pretty old school
one of the fist 'fad' coilovers for the s-chassis, if not the first
popularized by Drifter X demos/exhibitions/mag coverage back in early 2000s
one of the first coilovers marketed specifically to drifters
very decent for what their namesake implies, not great for dailying imo
although many youngster would say they're just fine
friend has them on one of his hatches
I have a set on one of my S14s and had another set on another S14 before hand
only reason I bought my current set is because I got them dirt cheap
and I planned on using the shells to put Konis in them
I'd recommend them to you for track or, like me, if you come up on a good deal

cliff notes: quality is good, damping is too stiff imo

I had a friend of mine send me a set from Japan and it's stiff as hell. It's like there's a solid metal bar in the wheel wells. They work great on the track though, nice and responsive...

Too harsh. I've owned 4 different coils and the Teins had the stiffest damping. Megan Tracks ride better.

I have them on my 14. Even with my back, I love how stiff they are. I finally turned the dampening to the softest setting a few days ago, I prefer it around the middle. I think it's about 15 clicks or so adjustable and I normally go daily at seven, and depending on drift/gymkhana i'll adjust it as needed.
All in all, I wouldn't get anything softer, even on oki roads

and on a side note. they don't have alot of 'slack' (for lack of a better word). When I jack up the car, they might hang about 1/2 inch... and steep hills at an angle will put you on three wheels real quick.
