Tips on buffing scuff mark from pole...

So my chicks sister rubbed up on a parking lot pole, lol.... yeah yeah i know not the best way to state it. Well she didn't dent the body much but it left yellow paint on her freshly painted s14 and i was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to buff it out or what i can do to try and take some of the scuff marks out. She's only had the car for a month and already beating it up!!!

turtle wax rubbing compound and heavy duty cleaner. Comes in a cirular green container but what id do is either use my finger or a rag and just rub that crap in like theres no tommorow, your yellow paint should come off if your really goin at it

go get it detailed. if you use and rub too much you can ruin the paint.

Well I'm looking for something that's not going to cost much out of my pocket because i know she's not going to do it and i hate seeing the car like that.

Take laquer (sp?) thinner and rub off as much paint as possible (aka all) then get a heavy rubbing compound, medium, light and then polish until it is no more. Then seal it and wax it.

First wash your car then dry it.
Then try just a rag and some wd-40 or PB-blaster, and elbow grease.

If that doesn't work try a "mr clean magic eraser."

They are both abrasive as fuck and will leave swirl marks on your car, but those can be worked out with stuff such as Meguiars Scratch-X or some sort of diamond cutting compound.

use 3m rubbing compound.if you can borrow a buffer try it with just compound and buff it out.try not to burn the paint. use speed at 3-4. if that doesnt work, water sanded down with 1200-1500 wet sandpaper til paint comes off and buff it out after with compound. dont use paint thinner, ur just gonna make it worse. retired detailer.lol.peace

^ Best reccommendation, just what I was going to say. DO NOT use paint thinner. On a freshly new painted car you will completely Fubar it. You can buy a buffer, the electric ones will work best here because their speed isnt fast enough to burn paint. Dont use one that runs off a air, like one a detailer would use, because if youre new at it, you'll burn it right off. Good luck.

On a side note I've seen a girl wreck her car 3 times in 1 month. Then roll her car right in front of her house.

Use a rubbing compound like stated above, 3M is great, but Meguiars Clear Coat Body Scrub works wonders too and is less expensive. paint thinner is the worst thing you could do. any thing that you may not be able to remove with a rubbing compoung may be resolved with using a clay bar, sometimes. Turtle Wax is cheap shit.

There's so much horrible advice in here it hurts to read. Many companies make clear coat safe solvents that are perfectly fine to use on your car. Use that first. Chances are that if its just paint transfer, that will be fine for 99% of people. Depending on how deep the scuff marks are depends on how abrasive of a product you would have to use. Wetsanding, air buffers, etc.. are you guys serious? LOL

find somebody with a da polisher i have on from meguiars , use a heavy cut compund cleaner then polish an wax it to cover up any scratch
